Immunology Group Head
(Position based in Île-de-France – Remote work possible 2 days/week)
As part of its Center of Excellence in Immune Regulation and Autoimmune Diseases (AID), we are seeking an experienced scientific manager to lead a research unit dedicated to autoimmunity and immune tolerance.
I – MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: A KEY ROLE BETWEEN MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH
As the head of this unit, you will play a pivotal role in advancing immunology research and identifying new therapeutic targets.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Defining the scientific vision and leading the strategic direction of projects under your responsibility, leveraging your expertise to identify innovative research avenues.
• Managing and mentoring a team of 8 to 10 researchers, fostering their skill development and professional growth.
• Leading your own research projects, integrating the latest immunology approaches while ensuring effective collaboration.
• Conducting active scientific and competitive intelligence to anticipate industry trends and guide the team's work toward high-impact discoveries.
• Establishing and strengthening scientific collaborations, both internally and with academic and industrial partners, to drive innovation and accelerate the development of new therapies.
• Presenting research findings in scientific publications, as well as in regulatory and clinical submissions.

II - PROFILE SOUGHT: SCIENTIFIC EXPERTISE & LEADERSHIP
Key qualifications:
• PhD in Immunology / Cellular Immunology.
• 10-15 years of experience in immunology research within academic and industrial settings (pharmaceutical industry).
• Expertise in adaptive or innate immunity, immunoassays, biomarker identification, inflammatory diseases, and translational immunology.
• Proven experience in the development of novel molecules in immunology.
• Ability to manage complex projects and unite teams in a fast-evolving context.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluent English is essential.
